Making Designer Jeans Work For You

Finding jeans that fit has always been an issue for me. The few brands that offered a fit solution always looked really cheap to me, or it was so urbanlicious that I just couldn't bring all the years of high fashion sense down the drain. So I decided that being a seamstress I had no excuse and I decided to put the work in making quality jeans fit my 34-26-46 frame. The Ginger jeans from Seven has good weight. So the fabric is not too heavy which is favorable considering all the other weight I have to carry! Second, the stitching is tight and close, not large like many other cheaper lines, which means it will take more everyday wear before it rips. I purchased the size that fits my thighs and hips the best, then I cut the waist open, sliced the excess portion, then stitched the back seam back together. And now voila! The perfect fit. I've received so many compliments on these. When purchasing anything, its always better to go with the quality and then take it to a tailor for a fix.

  1. I really enjoyed the picture of you in your jeans; however, it made me a little upset. If you haven’t figured it out by now, you have a lot going on. And, you make it hard to focus on the pant. The other (stick figure) models make it easy to focus on the clothing.

I wanted to get some jeans and have them tailored. Thanks for this! now i know it can be done! Off to the store i go!

You'll find no problems finding someone willing to carry that "other weight." Dios mio!
